Believe it or not it has been 12 years since I arrived in the United States to start what my mother and family thought would be a better life. It has
definitely been an exciting, loving, adventurous, romantic, challenging, nerve wrecking, heart breaking, and backstabbing journey. Wow! That's a lot when you throw it all into one big bowl, but most importantly I'll never regret the lessons I've learned from each and every one of those experiences.

It all came to me after a long talk with a very close friend on the rooftop of a building somewhere in the clouds of California. I decided to call the exhibit "Souls Revealed... the last seven years" I went back to the journals I've written over the past seven years and realized that I'd come a long way from my first year living in Chicago therefore I pulled quotes from some of my entries and gave each one of them a name. I wanted to bring some of my thoughts and experiences to life and share them with others who could relate. It was a challenge creatively, emotionally, and spiritually. I was preparing to share some of my most intimate experiences with people that I don't even know.
